Conference Japan: Participation at ACM SIGCHI 2025 in Yokohama
The ACM Special Interest Group Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (SIGCHI) took place from April 28 to May 1, 2025, in Yokohama, Japan ([CHI 2025](https://chi2025.acm.org)). As the world’s leading conference in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), CHI annually brings together researchers and professionals from academia and industry to shape the future of interactive technologies.
The program offered a broad range of research talks, demonstrations, and poster sessions, representing the latest developments in HCI. Central themes included emerging interaction paradigms, digital ethics, and critical discussions on privacy and trust in increasingly complex technological environments.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity to connect with international researchers from the United States, Canada, Japan, and several European countries. Within this framework, we were able to share our own research perspectives on intimacy, communication, and privacy, fostering fruitful dialogue with other projects.
Prior to the main conference, we were invited to the Embodied Media Lab at Keio University in Tokyo. The lab presented current research in embodied interaction and immersive media environments. This visit offered valuable insights into methodological approaches and technological innovations that will inform and enrich our own research.
Participation in CHI 2025 not only enhanced the international visibility of our project but also created sustainable opportunities for future collaborations.
